What are the rules and regulations for sending a research note/article?
It is a quarterly journal publishing original short research notes. IE
also accepts interesting observations on all aspects of insects. Detailed research papers, abstracts, reviews, and one season
trials, single experiment results are not acceptable.
All authors of the article should become members and contribute Rs. 125/- towards processing, postage and publishing
of IE. All articles should be accompanied by a self addressed, adequately stamped envelopes. Complying to the above
will help in faster publication of the paper.

It is an affiliation of entomologists and a non-profit
academic venture to disseminate information on insect study and conservation through Insect Environment. ISCN affiliation is free. There is no admission fee or life membership. However, those desirous of receiving the quarterly
journal Insect Environment or publishing research notes should contribute Rs. 125/- [ or US $ 10 outside India] towards

How to obtain a copy of Insect Environment:?
Four issues of IE will be sent to anybody
sending an annual cost towards processing, postage and publishing the journal, which amounts to Rs. 125/- [sent either through MO or DD drawn in favour of Insect Environment payable at Bangalore along with the filled-in form given above (For those outside India, US$ 10)]. The format in the
last page of the journal can also be Xeroxed and used for sending the details.
What are the information to authors for sending the research note ?
It is a quarterly journal publishing
original short research notes. IE also accepts interesting observations on all aspects of insects. Detailed research papers,
abstracts, reviews, one season trials, listing of fauna, etc., are not acceptable. Research notes should have a brief intro,
methodology, and results and discussion, but not subtitled as these. A logical conclusion is a must.
Notes should be sent in duplicate, with relevant small table/figure. Photograph of exceptional
quality and relevance only will be published. All notes are refereed. Notes should not exceed 300 words (= one page). If it
exceeds 1 page, a page charge of Rs. 100/- per page should be paid.

Is there a page charge?
To meet the cost of production and postage, the Editors will restrict all research papers to a maximum of one page.
In case of more than one page, the editorial has decided to levy a page charge of Rs. 100 per page (irrespective of
the length). Thus, a note of 1 1/4 - 2 pages require an additional page charge of Rs. 100. Likewise a
note of 2 1/4 - 3 pages require an additional page charge of Rs. 200.
A note of 300 words
running text or 250 words + 1 small table = 1 page.
The authors have to tailor their notes according to the above guidelines
